Ramón García-Sanz, a haematologist, is Associate
Professor at the University Hospital of Salamanca, and has been Head of the
Diagnostic Laboratory Unit since April 2019. He is also a researcher at the
Cancer Research Center of Salamanca.
Dr García-Sanz completed his postdoctoral
studies in the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Dr García-Sanz
is principal investigator and co-investigator in many studies in Hodgkin lymphoma,
Waldenström macroglobulinemia and multiple myeloma.
Dr García-Sanz has authored
>260 original research articles indexed in PubMed, as well as publications
in Spanish. He actively participates in the Spanish groups GEM/PETHEMA and
GELTAMO focusing on myeloma biology, minimal residual disease detection and
global studies in Waldenström macroglobulinemia and Hodgkin lymphoma. He is the
current President of the Spanish Society of Hematology.
