Pablo Sarobe is professor of Immunology at the University of Navarra and researcher of the Program of Immunology and Immunotherapy at the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA), Pamplona, Spain. His area of expertise is immunology, with emphasis in chronic diseases, mainly chronic viral infections and cancer. He has been involved in the characterization of immune responses in these patients as well as in the development of new immune enhancing strategies aimed at potentiating T-cell effector functions.
Studies conducted by Professor Sarobe include different vaccination strategies, combinations of vaccines with checkpoint inhibiting antibodies or other immune modulators, and the characterization of T-cell features relevant for adoptive T-cell therapies. As a result of this work Professor Sarobe has authored more than 90 papers in international journals and is co-inventor in 16 patents related to vaccination and immunomodulation.
