Brian Koffman is licensed and board-certified in family medicine in both the USA and Canada, and practices with the St. Jude Heritage Medical Group in Diamond Bar, California. He earned his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, completed his family practice residency at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, and his psychiatry fellowship at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. Dr Koffman taught at the University of Waterloo, Canada, and is a retired Professor at the Keck School of Medicine, USC in Los Angeles, USA, where he completed his M.S.Ed. The former Medical Director of Primary Care Network, he develops and provides quality accredited continuing medical education. As a doctor turned chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patient, his popular blog (http://bkoffman.blogspot.com) that shares and explains his CLL journey, along with the wide scope of his efforts in patient advocacy and education, has benefited countless patients. He founded the highly regarded non-profit CLL Society (http://cllsociety.org) dedicated to the unmet needs of those with CLL, where he is the Volunteer Medical Director.
